Meeting points throughout the 'Long Way Up!' - please note some changes to times below

Fancy joining us for a ‘Long Way Up!’ ride out? Here’s some ways you can do this, its all free but don’t be surprised if we get our collection tins out for a whip round from time to time!

  • join us in our ride back into  Matlock Bath as we finish the ‘Long Way Up!’ challenge - it would be great if we can get as many riders as possible to ride back into Matlock Bath with us when we finish.  We’ll be riding out from the Cat & Fiddle on Sunday 26 August at 2pm so that we can be in Matlock by 3pm.  We hope to have a police escort and Mick Extance will be there to wave us across the finish line and then we’ll relax at ‘The Fishpond’(opposite ‘The Pav’ car park where the Tourist Information office is sited) having ridden over 2,500 miles for our charities.
  • catch us at one of our meeting up points for a ride out - we have put together a list of meet up points along our route so that anyone who would like to join in can do so.  We’ll do our best to be at all the meeting points at the times we have specified (give or take 15min each way) but obviously cannot exactly foresee how the roads, weather, traffic will treat us.  We’ll try and keep you posted through our website or send messages ahead if we are delayed!
  • come to Scottoiler’s HQ with us! Scottoiler (www.scottoiler.com) have very kindly invited us to drop in on our way into the Highlands for a much needed break.  If you’re in the neighbourhood why not join us?  I’m sure they’d be pleased to put the kettle on for an extra cuppa!

Final thoughts …

If we’re running late and can get a message sent forward we will do so but if you’re waiting at a meet up point for more than 30mins after our scheduled time and we haven’t shown up then please assume we’ve been held up and accept our sincere apologies.  We will not leave early at any of these points.

If you see us on our distinctive golden Triumph Tiger please feel free to show your support in an appropriate manner - nod, wave or even give us some money for our chosen charities!

Follow our progress from the comfort of your armchair

We appreciate not everyone is able to, or wants to, join us and that’s fine.  You can catch up with our progress right here!  With the help of the Centre for Geospatial Science at the University of Nottingham (www.nottingham.ac.uk/cgs) we'll have a GPS system that will track our progress on Google Earth!  We’ll also have a special blog page on this site during our journey so you can sit back, relax and read all about our challenge whilst we’re hard at work!
